THE REGIONS OF CEDAR LAKE CFDC

Cedar Lake CFDC serves a number of Northern Affairs Communities, First Nations, LGD's and Rural Municipalities covering an approximately area of 37,000 square kilometers, starting at the Southern most Community of Lenswood and continues North on Provincial Trunk Highway # 10 to include the Community of Wanless. It includes everything East to Provincial Trunk Highway #6 and West to the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Border on Provincial Trunk Highway #77. These Northern Affairs communities, First Nations, LGD's and Rural Municipalities have been broken down into seven regions. They are as follows:

1) The Pas / Opaskwayak Cree Nation (OCN)

2) RM of Kelsey

Includes the following Communities: Carrot River Valley(Pasquia Settlement), Young's Point, Big Eddy, Umperville Settlement, Ralls Island and Wanless.

3) Grand Rapids / Easterville

Includes the following Communities: The Town of Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids First Nation, The community of Easterville and Chemawawin Cree Nation.

4) Highway # 77 Area

Includes the following Communities: Baden, Powell, Barrows, National Mills, Westgate and Red Deer Lake.

5) Sapotaweyak / Mafeking

Includes the following Communities: Sapotewayak Cree Nation, Pelican Rapids(Shoal River), Dawson Bay and Mafeking.

6) Moose Lake / Cormorant

Includes the following Communities: Moose Lake, Mosakahiken Cree Nation and Cormorant.

7) Birch River / Lenswood

Includes the following Communities: Birch River, Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation, Bellsite, Novra and Lenswood.
